The CO₂ (Carbon Dioxide) fire extinguisher is specifically designed for Class B (flammable liquids) and electrical fires. It works by displacing oxygen around the fire, effectively suffocating the flames without leaving any residue.
This makes CO₂ extinguishers ideal for use in server rooms, electrical panels, laboratories, and offices where sensitive equipment is present. The extinguisher is equipped with a discharge horn to control the gas flow and prevent static discharge.
CO₂ extinguishers are clean, non-conductive, and safe for electrical applications, but they are not suitable for Class A fires as they do not cool the burning material effectively.
