Wet Chemical extinguishers utilize a specialized solution of Potassium Acetate, Potassium Citrate, or Potassium Carbonate. Upon discharge, the agent undergoes Saponification, reacting with burning cooking oils to create a thick, soapy foam layer that seals the surface and prevents reignition.

Technical Data:

• Fire Rating: Primarily rated for Class F (UK/EU) or Class K (US) fires; also carries a Class A rating.

• Discharge Mechanism: Fine mist spray nozzle to prevent splashing of hot oils.

• Chemical Agent: Low pH Potassium-based solution.

• Standard Compliance: Designed in accordance with BS EN3 or NFPA 10 standards.

• Construction: High-grade stainless steel or plastic-lined carbon steel cylinder for corrosion resistance.

Warning: Limited effectiveness on Class B (flammable liquids) and poses a conductivity risk on high-voltage electrical equipment.
